NWS: Large Hail and Flooding Threaten the Concho Valley Friday

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Another round of severe thunderstorms could sweep across the Concho Valley Friday afternoon causing flooding on area roadways.

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, thunderstorms will redevelop across much of West Central Texas this afternoon and evening.

A few of these storms may become strong and briefly approach severe levels, with large hail the main concern.

However, locally heavy rainfall and dangerous cloud to ground lightning will be the more likely threat.

There is a 70 percent chance of rain Friday afternoon and evening with a 40 percent chance of rain Friday night with clearing conditions for the weekend.

This is a developing story.
