Traffic Stop Sends Two Men to Jail for Having 34 Grams of Meth

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Two men were arrested on Tuesday after a search of their vehicle leads officers to find 34 grams of methamphetamine.

On April 16, officers with the San Angelo Police Department spotted a vehicle with a known wanted subject inside. The vehicle was stopped at the 700 block of McCann and inside were two men.

The officers identified the driver as 41-year-old Robert Perez and the passenger as 33-year-old Gabriel Lopez. Lopez was wanted for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and going off bond criminal trespassing. Perez also had a warrant for a parole violation.

The two men taken into custody and the vehicle was searched. Officers located 34 grams of meth as well as multiple narcotics distribution items.

Both men were arrested for their outstanding warrants, and Lopez was additionally charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

The two men are currently in the Tom Green County Jail and their bond has not been set at this time.
