Crashes on Loop 306 at Sunset Mall Back Up Morning Traffic

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Two crashes on Loop 306 near Sunset Mall backed up morning commute traffic Wednesday.

According to San Angelo Police Department investigating officers the driver of a Mercedes realized traffic was backing up and applied the brakes but rear-ended a Nissan Rogue anyway.  

No one was injured. The driver of the Mercedes was issued a citation for failure to control speed.

 In the second crash, a Nissan Titan pickup and a Lincoln MKX were attempting to avoid the previous crash.  

The pickup was in the outside lane and the Lincoln was in the inside lane.  The driver of the Lincoln attempted to change lanes and they collided. 

No one was injured.
