San Angelo Nature Center Creating Unique Experience

SAN ANGELO, TX - In an electronic world it's easy to forget about everything around us. The San Angelo Nature Center is making sure it brings the world around us to life.

"We really want to get education out there whether it be for adults or children," said nature center coordinator Selina McSherry. "We use spring break as a chance to get the children out here and educate them about all different kinds of animals that we have here at the nature center and other animals that we don't have."

Aside from educating youngsters on the many creatures of the nature center McSherry says her staff wants to them know the importance of these animals and what they mean to the world around us.

"Even though that these animals can be scary we want to definitely teach them that they're here for a reason," exclaimed McSherry. "Every animal whether it be a snake, insect or mammal everything is here for a reason."
