Thunderstorms Could Spawn Hail and a Possible Tornado

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Severe springlike thunderstorms could bring dangerous lightening, hail and might even spawn a tornado in the Concho Valley by Tuesday night. 

According to the National Weather Service Office in San Angelo, more widespread thunderstorms are expected late Tuesday into Wednesday morning for all of West Central Texas.

A few storms may become strong to severe with the main hazards being large hail, damaging winds, dangerous lightning, and a possible tornado.

In addition, heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding across the region.

Strong gusty winds are expected on Wednesday, which may result in hazardous driving conditions along with blowing dust.

There is a 60 percent chance of strong to severe thunderstorms Monday night. 

Tuesday there is a continued 60 percent chance of thunderstorms with a quarter of an inch of rain possible. 

Tuesday night, forecasters have a 100 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and heavy rain of up to one inch possible.  

It'll also be windy with west to southwest winds gusting up to 35 mph.
