Vintage Chevy Pickup Destroyed in Crash with 18-wheeler Near Goodfellow AFB

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A vintage Chevrolet pickup slammed into an 18-wheel tractor trailer Monday evening on Paint Rock Rd. near the North gate of Goodfellow AFB blocking traffic. 

According to San Angelo Police Dept. investigating officer Francis, the 18-wheeler was attempting to back into the Paint Rock Apartments and had assistance from volunteers directing traffic.  The older model Chevrolet pickup came around the corner on Paint Rock Rd. and crashed into the back of the 18-wheeler.

The pickup is a total loss.  

Officer Francis says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.  The driver of the Chevrolet pickup may be charged with failure to control speed. 

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
