Elderly Driver Hospitalized After Friday Evening Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX --  An elderly female driver was sent to the hospital following a three car crash on S. Randolph St. Friday evening.

According to San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Bradshaw, a red Dodge Journey SUV was southbound on Randolph approaching a stop sign at the intersection of Ave. V.

Another vehicle was eastbound on Ave. V.

The driver of the Dodger SUV was distracted by his dog and by the time he looked up it was too late.

The driver of the red SUV told police he ran the stop sign and struck a Toyota drive by an elderly woman.

The Toyota left the roadway and struck a telephone pole, some trees in a yard and then a parked car.

The elderly driver of the Toyota was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Bradshaw says the driver of the Dodge will be issued citations for running the stop sign and driving with an invalid driver's license.
