SAN ANGELO, TX -- The third round of the girl's high school basketball playoffs begin on Monday with five area teams taking the court in the regional quarterfinals.
The Veribest Lady Falcons will look to make their first trip to the regional tournament when they take on district foe and no. 25-ranked Blackwell at Angelo State University's Junell Center on Monday.
Veribest took the regular season series from Blackwell, including their win on the final day of the season for their first district title since 2002.
Christoval will look to book their first trip to the regional tournament in four years when they meet Seagraves in Colorado City on Tuesday.
Here are the area playoff pairings for the regional quarterfinals:
Class 3A
Region I

Class 2A
Region I
- Christoval (W7) vs Seagraves (R5), Tuesday, Feb. 19, 7:00 p.m. @ Colorado City
Region IV
- #2 Mason (W27) vs Somerville (T26), Tuesday, Feb. 19, 6:30 p.m. @ Leander Rouse
Class 1A
Region II
- Eden (W12) vs #10 Rankin (W10), Tuesday, Feb. 19, 6:00 p.m. @ Sterling City
- Veribest (W11) vs #25 Blackwell (T11), Monday, Feb. 18, 8:00 p.m. @ Angelo State University
