Winter Weather Returning to the Concho Valley Tuesday

SAN ANGELO, TX -- There is a chance for icy bridges and overpasses Tuesday morning across the Big Country and the Northern Concho Valley as a cold front will bring rain or freezing rain and cooler temperatures.

The National Weather Service office in San Angelo is forecasting temperatures around the freezing mark across the area with light rain or freezing rain.

Light precipitation will develop across West Central Texas on Tuesday morning. This precipitation may fall as freezing rain/drizzle or sleet across the Big Country and northern Concho Valley with surface temperatures at or below freezing.

Any ice accumulations should be very light, at around a hundredth of an inch or less, with elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses most likely to be impacted.

There is a 50 percent chance of showers Tuesday with temperatures in the lower 40s throughout the day.

This is a developing story.
