Girl's Basketball Playoff Pairings: Area Round

SAN ANGELO, TX -- After Monday, eight area girls basketball teams advanced to the area round of the high school basketball playoffs.

No. 1-ranked Wall and no. 2-ranked Mason made light work of their opponents, Christoval cruised to their fifth-straight bi-district win and Sonora won their first playoff game in five years.

Heading into Tuesday, four Concho Valley teams have a chance to make it to the area round. Menard and Robert Lee will play each other in Panther Creek, giving the area at least one more team to the area round.

Here are the area playoff pairings heading into Tuesday:

Class 2A

Class 1A
