SAN ANGELO, TX -- A red Volkswagen Beetle crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Johnson St. and Knickerbocker Rd. Wed. afternoon.
San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Brian Bylsma at the scene says an elderly female driver was southbound on Johnson St. at the intersection and her foot slipped off the brake pedal and hit the gas pedal.
The driver lost control and left the roadway crashing into a power pole.
The airbags deployed and there was visible damage to beetle.
No information was released about injuries or citations.
