SAN ANGELO, TX -- A Significant Weather Advisory has been issued for San Angelo and parts of Sterling and Irion Counties Wed. afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, At 2:37 p.m. doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Forsan to 8 miles south of Best. Movement was east at 35 mph.
Dime size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with these storms.
Strong thunderstorms will be near Barnhart around 3:15 p.m.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 p.m. for west central Texas.

UPDATE WED. 4:25 p.m.
A line of strong to severe thunderstorms from Haskell county south through western Sutton county will continue to move east across the region through the mid evening hours, bringing the possibility of damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. Frequent lightning will also be a hazard. Locally heavy rainfall could result in minor urban flooding.
