Early Morning Crash Causes Heavy Damage to W. Beauregard Avenue Bridge Railing

 

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews are at work this morning investigating the damage caused to the bridge across the Concho River near the 600 block of W. Beauregard Ave. According to a primlimanary police report, a vehicle rammed into two sections of the railing of the bridge, destoying them. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police logs indicate that the crash occurred at 5:11 a.m. this morning.

Debris from the crash can be seen on the river banks below. One westbound lane on Beauregard is blocked for safety and to give a working space for the TxDOT bridge crews.

San Angelo police said that only one vehicle was involved in this crash.
