Big Spring ISD Reassigns Head Coach and Athletic Director

 

BIG SPRING, TX-- The head football coach and athletic director for the Big Spring Steers was reassigned.

Mitch McLemore just finished his second season as the HC and AD for the Steers where they went 3-19 in the two seasons according to MRT.  

Big Spring did make the playoffs and won the first game against the Clint Lions a few weeks prior to the reassignment.

McLemore will serve as an administrator for the Big Springs Intermediate campus.

“The district is grateful to coach McLemore for his contributions to our school district, our students, and to the greater community, and we look forward to benefiting from his service in his new role,” a press release stated.

Former Steers coach and current principle of Big Spring High, Mike Ritchey, will take over as the athletic director during the search for a replacement.
