SAN ANGELO, TX -- O.C. Fisher Reservoir is benefiting from this week's flood waters as the North Concho River rose out of its banks from Sterling City to Grape Creek.

Water Date for Texas says the reservoir gained 4,401 acre feet of water over the last week.

O.C. Fisher went from 10,375 acre feet on Oct. 5 to 14,776 acre feet on Oct. 12.

The surface area of the lake went from 781 acres to 1,081 acres in the same period.

Flood waters continue to flow into the reservoir which was built in 1951 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
