Week 4 Players to Watch in the Concho Valley

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Players are starting to emerge as true play makers for their teams as the season enters week 4.

Some players, however, are just starting to show glimpses of what they can do.

Here are the players you should watch out for in week 4:

Jashon Hall, Central Bobcats, CB, Sr.

Hall has only been able to play in two games for the Bobcats since coming back from injury. He's made the most of those two games.

The rangy cornerback made his presence known in the win over Del Rio in week 2. He tallied a sack and made a number of plays in coverage.

In week 3, he sparked a comeback with a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown against Cedar Park to go with a number of pass break ups.

His upward trend should be expected to continue against El Paso Pebble Hills (3-0).

Hall will get to prove himself as a run stopper against the Spartans, who run the ball a lot out of their spread offense. They have racked up 914 yards rushing through three games. Senior Caleb Gerber leads the team with 488 yards and four touchdowns.

Pebble Hills can also throw the ball. Junior quarterback Sebastian Ochoa has completed 53 of 77 passes for 635 yards and 10 touchdowns. That means Hall will likely get his chance to break up some more passes this week.

Jovan Young, Winters Blizzards, QB, Sr.

The Blizzards are off to a red-hot start at 3-0.

That can be attributed to their senior QB Jovan Young running their option attack well.

Last week, Young carried the ball 17 times for 234 yards and three touchdowns in their 36-6 win over Bangs.

This week, Winters gets another game where they can put up some big numbers with Ranger (1-2).

Ranger has not been good through their first three games. The Bulldogs' opponents have outscored them 132-48. Miles put 67 points on them to open the season.

Expect Young and the Blizzards to have another big game this week.

Wesley Dutton, Sonora Broncos, WR, Sr.

The senior receiver has been the go-to guy for quarterback Brian Van Winkle this season.

Dutton has caught 11 passes for a team-leading 268 yards and four touchdowns.

However, in last week's downpour, Dutton was quiet. He had just one reception for 14 yards in that game.

This week, Dutton is expected to step up for the Broncos against their rival, Wall.

If he can put up some good numbers, the Broncos will likely have success. If he doesn't, the Broncos won't be in dire straits considering they still have a solid corps of receivers.
