San Angelo ISD Placing Bottled Water at Schools; Scores of Businesses Closed By Boil Water Notice

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Administrators at the San Angelo Independent School District are making preparations for water in schools on Wednesday in anticipation of the boil water notice continuing.

According to the SAISD website, We are aware of the city’s boil water alert as a result of a large water main break.

We are currently working to stage bottled water at athletic events and campuses.

Students and staff are encouraged to bring bottled water with them to school tomorrow.

Water fountains will be shut off at all campuses. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.

As we reported earlier, the TCEQ has issued a boil water notice for all of San Angelo.

The boil water notice has also closed many restaurants in San Angelo, many in the southwest part of the city.

We will continue to monitor this situation and update this story as new informaton becomes available.

This story needs a follow up. Are they closed because of the water outage or did they close because of the boil water notice? Two VERY different reasons to close.
