SAN ANGELO, TX -- (Press Release) Water Distribution crews are working to repair a significant water main break that has impacted service to a large swath of south and southwest San Angelo. Crews are unsure how long it will take to repair the break, but they are prepared to work late into the evening. The break occurred in an open area behind San Angelo Community Medical Center. Water Utilities officials are seeking to reroute water to restore service to as many areas as possible. However, because of the extent of the break, rebuilding pressure in the system may well take hours. Water pressure in other areas of the city may also be affected.

The Water Utilities Departments is unsure how many customers have been impacted.

Updates will be posted on the City’s website at cosatx.us, and on the City of San Angelo-Public Information Facebook and the City of San Angelo Twitter pages.
