Death of Elderly Abilene Woman Ruled Homicide

 

ABILENE, TX-- Police have ruled the death of an elderly woman in the Fairway Oaks subdivision of Abilene a homicide, per a report from KTXS.

Initially, the death of Arlinda "Lin" Rushing, 75, was ruled suspicious.

Her husband, Larry Rushing, found her dead at their home on Pinehurst at roughly 5 p.m. on Friday.

Police told KTXS they have developed a person of interest who was arrested on unrelated charges.

The autopsy report has not be released at this time.

Rushing's death is the 7th homicide in Abilene this year.
