ABILENE, TX-- KTXS reports an ex-worker for an Abilene church daycare accused of child sex crimes has been re-arrested.
On Tuesday, Benjamin Russell Roberts, 23, was charged with receipt of child pornography.
A federal complaint states that Roberts tried to delete 400 files of child pornography from his laptop.
It was after Abilene police sent it to the North Texas Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory that investigators found the files "within the carved data" of the laptop.
Roberts was working at Wylie Baptist Church's Child Development Center in March when he was arrested for indecency with a child and possession of child pornography.
Police identified eight victims from that investigation.
Roberts is scheduled to appear in federal court Thursday at 10 a.m. for a new bond hearing.
