MILES, TX-- The Wall Lady Hawks took down the Miles Lady Bulldogs in preseason action on Tuesday. It took four sets for the Lady Hawks to win the match.
“It was huge for us to get this win,” said Wall head coach Robynn Jones. “They fought. They seemed to pop up everything we threw over at them, whether it was a hard hit or a controlled shot. Their defense was there.”
The Lady Hawks won the first set 25-21, despite multiple Miles rallies. The second set was much more dominant for the Lady Hawks, winning 25-14.
Miles stole game three 25-20 to put pressure on the Lady Hawks.

Thanks to solid defensive play at the pin, the Lady Hawks held off the Lady Bulldogs once again for a 25-19 win.
“We’ve been doing well with our blocks,” Jones said. “We focused on it during two-a-days, lining up with that hitter’s shoulder. It’s something we focused on because we know we have big hitters in our district. Miles tested us today.”
Rachel Stewart led the way for the Lady Hawk's offense with nine kills.
