City Hosting Microchipping Clinic at Tractor Supply

SAN ANGELO, TX -- (Press Release) The San Angelo Animal Shelter will host a microchipping clinic for pets from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Tractor Supply, 2701 Southwest Blvd.

The cost is $13 per animal.

City ordinance requires that all dogs and cats older than 4 months must be microchipped. This helps animal control officers reunite lost pets with their owners. The shelter, 3142 U.S. Highway 67North, provides microchipping for $13 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

“We occasionally like to offer these clinics in an effort to make microchipping as convenient as possible for San Angelo pet owners,” said Morgan Chegwidden, assistant director of Neighborhood and Family Services. “Chipping a dog or cat is simple and quick, and it is the best insurance for returning lost pets to their families.”
