SAN ANGELO, TX — Fuzzy’s Taco Shop filed a permit in January for a renovation of the old Applebee’s building on Sherwood Way.
Since the filing of the permit, not much action has been seen at the location at 4333 Sherwood Way, until recently.
The right side of the building sprouted large wooden posts on what looks like a covered area extension from the building. “There will be a full bar and large covered patio area with garage doors,” said Dean Clardy, owner of the Fuzzy’s Taco Franchise. “Beyond the patio will be a turfed area that will be kid friendly.”
The inside of the building is completely gutted for renovation, but the work is moving fast now as an opening date is set for late August or early September.
“Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is all about Baja-style Mexican food,” said Dean. “Great food and great atmosphere at an affordable price.” Dean is the owner of four other Fuzzy’s Taco Shops, two in Abilene, one in Lubbock, and one in Amarillo.
As far as food goes, Fuzzy's Taco Shop is an award-winning, fast-casual Baja-style Mexican restaurant company famous for its addictive Baja soft tacos and all-day breakfast, and the menu can be seen here.
