Drugs Leading Charge on Tuesday

Possession of drugs was the top ranking charge on the inmates booking report Tuesday, when five of 20 inmates were jailed for drugs. Marijuana accounted for an additional three bookings, followed by two charges of assault--one aggravated with a deadly weapon--two DWIs, and one charge each of public intoxication and organized crime.

The majority of the inmates were booked on warrants from previous charges. Seventeen were released from the jail on Tuesday.
