Police: Drunk Driver of a Dodge Charger Crashes into Telephone Pole and Rolls

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A white Dodge Charger crashed into a telephone pole, rolled, and eventually ended up upright in the yard of the apartment complex in the 1100 block of Rio Concho Dr. late Wednesday night. Police arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.

According to San Angelo Police Officer Larry Hogeda, the driver of the white Charger was traveling eastbound on Rio Concho and lost control, the smashed into a telephone pole. The collision sent the car rolling into the yard of the apartments there.

Officer Hogeda did not want to estimate the speed the driver was traveling.

There were two occupants of the Charger. The passenger was transported to Shannon Medical Center via ambulance to be evaluated.

The driver, however, was subjected to a field sobriety test and quickly placed into handcuffs. Officer Hogeda confirmed he was arrested for DWI.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash that happened at around 11 p.m.
