One Dead in Fatal Crash Near Roscoe

ROSCOE, TX -- The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal crash in Nolan County near Roscoe.

According to DPS Trooper Sgt. Fred Biddle, a 2003 Dodge Pickup was traveling west on CR 274 one mile east of Roscoe.  

Biddle says the driver lost control and the pickup went into a left side skid then rolled over and struck a tree.  

The driver, identified as 43-year-old Jessie Victor Munoz of McKinney, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The crash occurred at 8:07 a.m. Saturday.  Munoz was wearing a seatbelt and the weather conditions were clear and dry.  

The crash is still under investigation.
