Is This Really July? Forecasters Predict Rain Today

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Keep your car windows rolled up today.  Forecasters with the National Weather Service in San Angelo say there is a 50 percent chance of rain after 11 a.m.

According to the NWS at 5 a.m., scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. today.

The main hazards will be dangerous lightning with the storms, and minor flooding due to locally heavy rainfall.

Normally, July is the hottest and one of the driest months of the year.
