According to investigating officer Gochenauer with the San Angelo Police Department, the girl was in a brown Buick driven by her mother headed west on Green Meadow when the driver of a white Nissan disregarded a stop sign, entered the intersection and crashed into the Buick.
The driver of the Nissan was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign failure to yield the right of way.
Officers called for an ambulance when they first arrived on the scene because the girl was emotionally upset and had a bump on her head.
The child was not taken by ambulance. Officer Gochenauer says he was told she would be taken by private vehicle later.
The two occupants in the Nissan were not injured. Both vehicles were towed by Home Motors because they were not drivable.

WTF? Why do people continue to run stop signs and red lights??? If you run a stop sign/light and cause an accident it should be automatic jail time.

PermalinkThere is no stop sign at Green Meadow and Green Valley Trail, its a yield sign that nobody yields at!!. This is the 2nd accident in just a few months at this intersection, Maybe its time to put up a STOP sign like every other intersection on Green Meadow. Slow down u might save a life!!!
