Sheriff Nabs Most Wanted Suspect Who Disappeared in Pursuit Over O.C. Fisher Dam Last Month

SAN ANGELO, TX — The #1 Most Wanted suspect listed on the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office website was caught on Monday. Dray Wagner Pendleton, 27, was placed on the Most Wanted List after he evaded arrest back in February.

According to court documents, on Feb. 9, an officer had stopped a vehicle bearing Louisiana license plates because of a defective driver’s side brake light. The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of U.S. 87 north and FM 2105.

The officer made contact with the driver and later identified the passengers in the vehicle. One passenger in the vehicle was recognized to be Dray Pendleton because the officer had studied Pendleton’s booking photograph

Pendleton identified himself to the officer and told the officer he knew he had warrants for his arrest.

The officer asked him to exit the vehicle and attempted to place handcuffs on Pendleton, when he pulled away from the officer and began running on foot. Pendleton ran westbound over the O.C. Fisher Lake Dam.

There have been mny attempts to locate him since Feb. 9 but all were unsuccessful until this week.

He was arrested and booked in Tom Green County jail at 12:20 p.m. on Monday.  According to Sheriff's spokeswoman Lt. Christina Lopez, the arrest was uneventful.
