Fourth Inning Rally Lifts Lady Cats to Road District Win Against Killeen Shoemaker

 

KILLEEN, TX-- The Central Lady Cats closed out the first half of their District 8-6A schedule with a 12-5 come-from-behind win over Killeen Shoemaker on the road Friday night.

The Lady Cats trailed 3-1 after three full innings before scoring 11 unanswered runs.

Emily Sanchez would score on an error in the fourth inning, sparking a four-run rally to take the lead. Kaleigh Ochinang would tally her lone RBI on a fielder's choice before Sydnie Gilbert drove in two with a single to left field.

Bailey Fulps was a two-way dynamo for the Lady Cats by throwing a complete game in the circle and going 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the game. The freshman also struck out nine batters in the win.

Ochinang went 2-for-4 with two runs scored to go with her RBI on the night.

The Lady Cats (12-9-2, 5-2) will host Killeen Ellison (0-7, 0-7) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
