San Angelo Fire Chief Brian Dunn a Finalist to Head City of Denton Fire Department

 

DENTON, TX— The City of Denton announced this week that San Angelo Fire Chief Brian Dunn is a finalist to be the City of Denton Fire Chief.

According to a statement released by the City of Denton, there were 111 applicants for the opening and six were chosen for interviews that begin March 20.

Denton City Manager City Manager Todd Hileman worked with GovHR and selected finalists based on candidate applications, resumes, and supplemental materials, the City of Denton stated.

“The City will conduct interviews on March 20 and 21, which will include a series of meetings and a tour of the community. The City Manager expects to make a decision regarding the new Fire Chief by the end of the month,” the City of Denton stated.

Denton is a fast-growing suburb north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It has a population of 133,808 according to the 2016 U.S. Census estimates. It is about the same size city as Waco or Abilene.
