LEWISVILLE, TX-- The Central Bobcats lost to McKinney Boyd 5-4 on a walk-off, RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.
After going down 1-0 in the first inning, the Bobcats rallied to take a 2-1 lead on an RBI ground-out by Oscar Nino and a passed ball that scored Hayden Stevens in the top of the second inning.
Central tacked on another run in the third inning when Rance Rosas lined an RBI triple to left field to score Blake Mikeska to make it 3-1.
Boyd would cut the Bobcat lead to one run in the bottom of the fifth inning before Jonathan Limon drove in Nixon Brannan in the sixth to make it 4-2 Central.
Casey Sartain got the start and went six innings with three runs on two hits four strikeouts before making way for Stevens in the seventh inning. Stevens would not record an out and allowed two runs to cross to get tagged with the loss.
The Bobcats outhit Boyd 7-5 in the loss, with seven different players recording a hit. Brannan scored two runs for Central in the loss.
The loss was the Bobcats ninth in a row as they fall to 4-12 on the year.
