Chinese Kitchen on Knickerbocker is Closing Down

SAN ANGELO, TX. – After serving our community with delicious Chinese/Korean cuisine, Chinese Kitchen on Knickerbocker Road will be closing its doors.

Mina Ko, the owner, said, “It has been extremely hard to get workers for the restaurant.” And added, “working 14 hours for seven days a week is hard on my husband and me, especially as we grow older.”

Mina loves what she does and has loved doing it for 30 years. Chinese Kitchen has been a fixture in the Knickerbocker Square since it opened in 1988, serving the Chinese and Korean style dishes from the sweet and sour chicken dish to the Korean BBQ tacos.

The final day it will be open is February 18, and the doors will close for good at 3:00 p.m. that day.

The Ko family wanted to express their thanks to the community and have posted signs on the doors stating, “We would like to thank our valued customers for their loyalty and support. It has been our privilege to serve you and your families. We will miss all of you.”
