SONORA, TX-- The fourth-ranked Wall Lady Hawks dominated the Sonora Lady Broncos 81-13 in District 4-3A play on Friday night.
The Lady Hawks scored 11 unanswered points to start the game en-route to a 24-6 score heading in to the second period.
“I thought we played well the whole game,” Wall Head Coach Tate Lombard said. “We had stretches where we were really clicking, the fast-break points that really got us going. We had a lot of kids step up…We’ve really been trying to work on being solid defensively and when we’re good defensively, it helps our offense.”
Wall’s towering size stymied any Sonora attack with the Lady Hawks pulling down offensive and defensive rebounds left and right.
Jayden Fiebiger led the Lady Hawks in scoring with 20 points and tallied multiple boards down low for Wall.
“Jayden really did a good job being aggressive early,” Lombard praised. “I thought that’s been really good for her in the last couple of games.”
Audrey Nolen led Sonora in scoring with six points.
Wall improves to 23-5 overall and undefeated in district while Sonora falls to 2-14 and 1-4 in district play.
