A Cold Christmas is in Store for the Concho Valley

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Sadly, a white Christmas doesn't look to be happening for the Concho Valley this year.

However, according to the National Weather Service, the Christmas weekend will be cold.

In a release on Tuesday morning the NWS said to expect the first of two cold fronts to come through this Friday followed by another, stronger front on Sunday.

The NWS said showers and thunderstorms are expected to the east of a Throckmorton to Sonora line on Friday.

High temperatures on Sunday "will struggle to get out of the 30s," according to the NWS.

On Christmas, Concho Valley residents can expect a cold start to Christmas day with lows in the low to mid 20s. The NWS would go on to say "abundant sunshine will allow temperatures to warm into the low 40s Christmas afternoon."
