'The Office' is Expected to Return in 2018

According to TVline.com, The Office will be returning for a 2018-2019 season.

The office is a mockumentary about the typical office experience with constant ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium. NBC is looking to revive the popular show that is known for its eccentric boss, Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, who is the regional manager of the Dunder Mifflin. Carell will not be returning but the search for a new quirky regional manager is underway.

"The Office ran for 9 seasons and was part of the NBC Thursday night comedy brand. The show -- which made stars out of Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, and Mindy Kaling, among others -- was an awards-season staple, taking home multiple Emmy's, Golden Globes and other top prizes," according to Hollywoodreporter.com.

NBC has not yet commented on the story.
