If Central Bobcats Defeat Mansfield on Friday, the Next Stop is UT’s Darrell K. Royal Stadium

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The football playoffs season is getting interesting for the 6A San Angelo Central Bobcats. Every week, the question is, if they win, who and where do they play next?

That answer came this morning when Coach Brent Davis told the Central Booster Club that if Central defeats Mansfield at Mansfield’s Vernon Newsom Stadium on Friday, Central will face the winner of either Byron Nelson or Waco Midway at a neutral site.

The neutral site selected for the UIL is Darrel K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas. The exact time of the game is unannounced, but will either be Friday night, Dec. 1, or Saturday afternoon, Dec. 2.

We cannot get too far ahead of ourselves, however. Before the San Angelo Central Bobcat football team heads to DKR Stadium, it has to get past these guys:
