Theft and DWIs Account for Wednesday Increase in Jail Population

 

Wednesday was wrought with alcohol and theft, when a number of inmates took up temporary residence at the Tom Green County jail on commitments and motions to revoke. Of the 36 booked, eight had charges of DWI and 10 were accused of theft. 

Marijuana-related arrests dropped down to four, while possession of other drugs accounted for five inmate bookings. There were three evading arrest and three public intoxication charges, as well as two assaults.

Twenty-two inmates were released on Wednesday.
