Concho Valley Under a Flash Flood Watch Through Thursday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The National Weather Service Office in San Angelo has issued a Flash Flood Watch for a portion of west central Texas, including the following areas, Coke, Concho, Crockett, Fisher,Haskell, Irion, Jones, Kimble, Menard, Nolan, Runnels,Schleicher, Sterling, Sutton, Taylor, and Tom Green counties.

The Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 7 p.m. Monday evening through Thursday.  

The heaviest rainfall is expected to begin by tomorrow and continue through tomorrow night into Wednesday. Rainfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches are possible. Isolated amounts of 6 to 8 inches will be possible across the Interstate 10 Corridor between Ozona and Sonora.

The heaviest rain should end by Thursday. The main impacts will be to draws, streams, creeks and urban areas.
