SAN ANGELO-- A San Angelo based Hurricane Harvey relief group called Texans Helping South Texas is asking for help from the Concho Valley.
"Our volunteers and first responders are running out of fuel," said group founder Meghan Cole. "They need gas and diesel. Since they can't shower, they need baby wipes to clean off."
The group is also in need of more volunteers. Cole asks anyone with any sort of watercraft to volunteer to help with the relief efforts in severely flooded Houston. In order to help, volunteers are urged to contact the Kroger Fuel Station on 22150 Westheimer Parkway in Katy, TX at (281) 828-8880.
Towels and blankets are the highest recommended supplies to donate according to Cole, but anything will help the Bayou City in this time of need. The donation drop off location is at Scott Allison Real Estate on Knickerbocker. The group will leave this Friday morning to help with the relief.
To this point, the city of Houston has received over 43 inches of rain, flooding most rivers and lakes in the area.

San Angelo Emergency Management Coordinator Steve Mild on Tuesday warned residents from just loading up a trailer and heading to Houston. "Don't just gather up donated supplies and head to the Gulf Coast without a contact in the area. Whether it's the Salvation Army or A city or county or emergency management. Have a contact there." Mild said.
