SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Austin based Electric Rock band Dead Love Club will make their debut appearance at The Deadhorse on Friday, September 1.
"When I played in the band Vallejo, we played at The Deadhorse," said Lead Singer Johnny X. "It was always a great crowd."
DLC wants to bring high energy back to rock n' roll, much similar to the style played in the 1980s. Johnny X and his backup singer, Ferocious E (Emmy Robbin), hope to show the fans a good time this Friday in downtown San Angelo.
"No one has seen anything like this before," Johnny enthusiastically noted. "Ferocious E brings a sexy energy on stage. We remind people of 80s bands. We've been told we're Judas Priest meets Depeche Mode."
The band released their debut album, "Chronic Electronic", in 2012 and is currently working on their second album "Looking for Some Action".
"We're going to mix up our songs," Johnny E mentioned. "We'll use some songs from Chronic Electronic and our new album. We'll also cover some hits from the 80s and 90s, too."
DLC has seen many different venues, but the way they play never varies. "We play the same way in front of 10 people as we would for 10,000 people," Johnny added. "We're going to put on a really good show."
There's no cover for this concert and The Deadhorse will have Happy Hour until 9:00 pm and $3.50 Crown Royal, Jack Daniels, and Jameson! Dead Love Club will take the stage following the opener Moonhead this Friday night.
