SAN ANGELO, TX -- Bishop Michael Sis, Diocese of San Angelo has asked parishioners in the 29-county diocese to take up an emergency collection for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The people of the Diocese of San Angelo have always been very generous in reaching out to help others in time of need. Any contribution, large or small, is an expression of the corporal works of mercy and the Christian virtue of solidarity.”
The message says all parishes and missions are asked to take up an emergency special collection on any weekend in September or October. These funds will be sent to Catholic Charities USA and to local dioceses affected by the storm,
Sis said, “Let us all offer up prayers to God for the safety and health of these, our suffering brothers and sisters, in time of need.”
