SAN ANGELO,TX- The Concho Valley Masters Gardeners will offer a free water conservation seminar and family day on Saturday, April 29, at The Bosque along the Concho River.
The theme, “Get More Green with Less Blue,” will be from 10 a.m. to noon at 330 S. Irving St. along the Concho Rive Walk. Participants will learn about rainwater harvesting, landscape water conservation and using ET weather stations, according to a City press release.
The event is open to the public, and demonstrations will be held to highlight techniques and tools to conserve water. These techniques will help growing functional, attractive landscapes and gardens of all types and styles.
Also, a rain barrel and gift cards will be given away as door prizes.
While parents are learning, their children age 16 and younger can play miniature golf at The Bosque and fish in the river for free. Fishing poles will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the City press release.
