SAN ANGELO, TX - After running a red light this afternoon on Dallas and Howard, a pickup driver collided with two vehicles and flipped over one of them. Luckily, no one suffered major injury in the crash.
San Angelo Police Officer Steven Quade, traffic investigator, said the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup was traveling northbound on Howard, and the driver of a Toyota RAV4 was heading westbound on Houston Harte and entered the intersection on a green light. The driver of a Hyundai was at the intersection awaiting a red light when the pickup driver ran the red light, got hit by the RAV4, then struck the Hyundai, flipping over the top of the vehicle and landing behind it.
Officer Quade said one child at the scene claimed injury and was checked out by medics at the scene. However, the child and all involved in the crash, a total of four people, refused transport to area hospitals.
He also said the driver of the Ford will get a citation for disregarding the red light.
