SAN ANGELO, TX - A motorcyclist went to the hospital this evening after crashing in front of the Concho Valley Transit District, located at 510 N. Chadbourne St. San Angelo Police and first responders dispatched to the area at approximately 9:30 p.m.
SAPD Officer Williams said officials are still trying to determine the man's injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital after first responders arrived on scene.

The motorcycle currently lays mangled in front of the Transit District building, near the Route 2 sign.
Officer Williams said, based on witness statements, the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to "negotiate the curve."
Officer Bradshaw, who provided additional information, said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound, lost control, and crashed.
Just before 11 p.m., officials began measuring the crash site from E. 4th St. Officer Bradshaw explained that they are measuring for "precautionary" measures.
Because the crash investigation is in the preliminary stages, no further information is available.

This afternoon, SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez provided an update on the status of the motorcyclist involved in Saturday night's crash.
"The driver was treated for incapacitating injuries that were non-life threatening. He is expected to be released from medical care soon," Gonzalez said.
