Update @ 4:55 p.m.
SAPD Sgt. Rick Tinsley said at 3:30 p.m. the black pickup was traveling eastbound on West Beauregard.
"The driver may have fallen asleep, and he crossed over to westbound traffic, or the westbound side of the road, and, just before the bridge crossing the river, he went over the embankment, rolled down the hill and landed on the side next to the river," explained Sgt. Tinsley.

Medics did check out the driver at the scene, and found he had no injuries.
Sgt. Tinsley said the officials do not suspect the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the officer in charge of the investigation will determine if any citations will be issued, said Tinsley.
He added that once the area is cleared, a wrecker will use a rotator to lift the truck up the hill and onto a lane of traffic.
