San Angelo Firefighters Battle Residential Attic Fire in Freezing Temperatures

SAN ANGELO, TX — A single-family home in the 900 block of Cauley Ln. was the scene of a structure fire Sunday evening. The call came in at approximately 9:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring out of the attic.  It took them about 20 minutes to put the fire out, using 350 gallons of water, a spokesman said.

Two people were occupying the house when the fire was discovered. The occupants said their first indication something was amiss was when the electricity went off unexpectedly.
