Join the Tea Party with Nutcracker on the Concho

SAN ANGELO, TX – The 6th Annual Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party Fundraiser will be back this weekend. The San Angelo Civic Ballet, along with the cast from the Nutcracker on the Concho, will be entertaining their guests tomorrow, November 20.

The ballet will be revealing new characters for the first time, so it will be a treat for all. Guests will also enjoy a Victorian Christmas tea party filled with sweet treats and tea that will be served by the characters of the Nutcracker on beautifully decorated tables.

The Sugar Plum Fairy will be the special guest of the tea party, and guests will have the opportunity to take a photograph with her and watch her perform.

Nutcracker games, Nutcracker merchandise, face painting, dancing and music will also be available for all the guests. An exciting frontier version of Nutcracker will also be recited at the tea party. Several of the dances from the story will be recreated by the ballet, including Clara’s dance with the Nutcrackers and special performances from the Land of Prairie Dreams.

The tea party will be taking place at the Historic Fort Concho Stables; two different times will be available for those wishing to attend. Tickets are $30 dollars per person, or seating for a table of 8 can be purchased for $216. The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party is sponsored by Shannon Medical Center.

Tickets and information are available at www.balletsanangelo.org, at the Stephen’s Performing Arts Center Box Office located at 82 Gillis St., or by phone at 325-284-3825.
