SAN ANGELO, TX - This evening, a San Angelo driver flipped his Ford Ranger past the intersection of North Monroe and Shiloh because of possible brake issues.
San Angelo Police Officer Younts said the driver of the Ford pickup was traveling southbound on North Monroe. He told the officer that his brakes failed when he was coming to the stop sign, and he didn't want to go onto Houston Harte.
"So he decided to cut right," said Officer Younts. "When he did so, he hit the curb, and his truck flipped on its left side."
One witness of the crash, however, told officers that the driver swerved to miss a vehicle, and the crash may have been the result of an overcorrection issue that caused him to hit the curb and flip.
Luckily, there were no injuries, and Officer Younts said no citations have been issued.
