19-Year-Old Big Spring Teen Shoots Himself in the Leg

 

BIG SPRING, TX - At approximately 10:23 p.m. on Aug. 22, Big Spring Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of E. 17th in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived at the location, they found that 19-year-old Patrick Leos of Big Spring had a single gunshot wound to the leg.

Leos was transported by ambulance to the emergency room and then to Lubbock with a non-life-threatening injury.

"Based on witness statements and the statement of the victim, it was determined that Leos had been handling a handgun and an accidental discharge resulted in him being struck in the left leg," said Big Spring Police.

No criminal charges will be filed.
